Welcome to PreflopAI, a poker training platform provided by Optima Software LLC. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when using PreflopAI.

By registering for PreflopAI, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Acceptance of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is mandatory for registration and use of the service.

1. User Consent and Registration
PreflopAI relies on user consent for data collection and processing. During the registration process, users must explicitly accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy to create an account. Without this acceptance, registration cannot proceed, and access to PreflopAI's features will not be granted.
2. Data Collection and Usage
PreflopAI collects the following types of data:
- Account Information: Username and email address are collected for account creation, as well as the country the user is in, for account management.
- Training and Analytics Data: This includes user interactions with training exercises, performance metrics, and generated analytics to enhance user experience and recommendations.
- Navigation Data: Information such as IP address, device type, and interaction logs is collected to improve the platform’s performance and security.
- Location Data: If available, we may collect precise location data (latitude and longitude) via analytics tools such as PostHog to better understand how users interact with the app and improve user experience.
- Device and Advertising Identifiers: We collect device identifiers (including Android ID, IDFA, and GAID) via the Meta (Facebook) SDK and PostHog SDK, which activate automatically when the app is launched.
- Session Management: PreflopAI uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT), stored on the user’s device, to maintain active sessions and ensure secure authentication.
3. Third-Party Data Sharing
PreflopAI uses third-party SDKs that receive certain user data directly from the app. This section describes what is shared, with whom, and why.
- Meta (Facebook) SDK: On app launch, PreflopAI shares device and advertising identifiers (including IDFA/GAID and Android ID) with Meta Platforms, Inc. This data is used for advertising and marketing analytics, including ad performance measurement. Meta may process this data under its own privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/) and may use it for purposes beyond providing services to PreflopAI, including its own advertising products. Where required by your device platform, you may limit ad tracking through your device’s privacy settings (for example, “Allow Apps to Request to Track” on iOS or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).
- PostHog: PreflopAI uses PostHog to analyze in-app user behavior, including navigation events, feature interactions, training progress, device type, and — where available — precise location data (latitude and longitude). PostHog receives this data directly from the app and processes it on our behalf as a data processor under our agreement with them.
No Advertising Data Sales: PreflopAI does not sell user data. The data described above is shared with the named service providers strictly for the purposes stated, and not disclosed to any other advertisers or third parties beyond Meta and PostHog.
4. Data Usage for Training Recommendations
The training recommendation algorithm uses user training history and analytics data to provide personalized suggestions and enhance skill development. This processing is performed internally by PreflopAI and is separate from the third-party sharing described in Section 3.
Behavioral analytics data collected via PostHog is used internally to improve platform usability and the overall user experience, in addition to being processed by PostHog as described above.
5. Payment Processing and Transactions
PreflopAI does not process or store any payment-related data. All transactions, including subscriptions and billing, are handled securely through third-party services:
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription analytics and purchase verification.
- Google Play Store and Apple App Store: Handle all payment processing in compliance with their respective policies.
6. Data Access, Rectification, and Deletion
Users have full control over their personal data through the settings page:
- Access: Users can view their stored account and training data.
- Rectification: Users can update or modify their account details.
- Deletion: Users can permanently delete their account, which will result in the immediate erasure of all associated data from our database.
7. Account Deletion and Grace Period
When a user requests account deletion, their data is immediately removed from our systems. However, there is a 7-day grace period in which the user can recover their account if the deletion was requested in error. After this period, the data cannot be restored.
8. Data Storage and Security
We retain user data in the following manner:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): All user data is securely stored on AWS servers.
- No International Data Transfers: PreflopAI does not transfer user data outside the regions covered under GDPR compliance. If third-party services such as PostHog store data in other regions, we ensure appropriate data protection safeguards are in place in compliance with GDPR.
- Encryption and Security Measures: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest to prevent unauthorized access.
9. Compliance with GDPR and User Rights
PreflopAI fully complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users have the right to:
- Request a copy of their stored data.
- Modify or update their personal information.
- Delete their account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
